Dr. Udkoff was the founding fellow and helped establish the ACMS-accredited Mohs, plastics, and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Tel Aviv Medical Center (TLVMC). Due to its exceptional program, it is the only ACMS fellowship program in Europe, Africa, or Asia. There, Dr. Udkoff performed and assisted in over 1,200 Mohs surgeries and countless other dermatologic surgeries and procedures. Dr. Udkoff is ambidextrous and utilizes surgical techniques that produce the utmost cosmetic and functional results for his patients.

In addition to his Mohs experience, Dr. Udkoff performed a sub-fellowship with Dr. Ofir Artzi, a leading expert in cosmetic dermatology, at TLVMC. He also studied cosmetic dermatology under Dr. Susan Obagi, Dr. Carolyn Willis, and Dr. Oleg Akilov, and is proficient in liposuction, cosmetic surgery, laser medicine, neuromodulators (such as Botox and Dysport), and fillers (like Restylane).

He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he published multiple research papers on Mohs surgery under the mentorship of leaders in the field such as Dr. David Brodland and Dr. Thomas Knackstedt and began his Mohs surgery training with Dr. Melissa Pugliano-Mauro.

Dr. Udkoff completed both his MD and an NIH TL1 funded Master’s Degree in clinical research at the University of California, San Diego, before completing a medical internship at the highly regarded Cleveland Clinic. Prior to this, he completed multiple degrees including a combined BA/MA in Rabbinical Studies from the Jewish Education Leadership Institute, where he graduated Summa cum Laude and valedictorian of his class, and a BS degree in molecular biology and biochemistry from California Lutheran University. Prior to medical school, Dr. Udkoff became an HVAC technician and built ultra-low temperature refrigeration systems for computer applications and repaired MRI machine coolant technology.

When Dr. Udkoff is not practicing dermatology and surgery, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and 4 children. His various interests and hobbies include spearfishing, chess, baking sourdough, smoking fish and meats, and 3D printing projects with his kids.
